About Us
Startive Capital invests in very early & early stage technology businesses that have global potential. Typically we are looking at startups that address the Internet, software, mobile, high tech or consumer services markets.
How much we invest
Investments vary on the stage of the business and of course the market potential of the individual company. Typically we look to invest between $100K-$1M in very early stage seed investments, and $1M-$5M USD in early to later stage companies. Usually we like to take minority positions without too many bells and whistles. We want to keep the entrepreneurs and staff working in the company motivated with enough equity upside that everyone prospers on a successful exit (if that is the ultimate outcome).
What we look for
#1 - We look for startups with exceptional people, especially in the early days of a company so much relies upon the skill, motivation and determination of the team running the business. No matter how good the idea if the team is not capable of executing then most likely the investment will be a failure.
#2 - We look for ideas, products and services that have a broad global market, and that scale and grow easily. No big infrastructure building companies here.
#3 - We look for businesses where we can add value and help the company accelerate their business plan while avoiding common startup mistakes.
